It’s fair to say that Alexis Sanchez hasn’t been performing to his usual high standards in recent weeks, but Arsene Wenger, speaking to the media, claimed he’s not too concerned with the form of his star man.
The Chilean hasn’t had a goal or assist in four Premier League games since returning from a hamstring injury and he looked off the boil in the recent 2-0 home defeat to his former club Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week.
Whilst Wenger admitted, as reported by the club’s official website, that Arsenal need the 27-year-old to get back to his best sooner rather than later, he stressed that he is very confident that it’s only a matter of time before Alexis turns the corner and starts playing to the level that everybody knows he is capable of.

Yes because he’s a highly motivated player and I believe that he’s conscious of it as well. He wants to do even better. Let’s focus on the team performance and after that every individual will benefit from a good team performance.
Arsenal face Manchester United on Sunday and fans will be hoping that the boss is right and that the Gunners can put in a good performance.
