Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will not choose his successor.
The Frenchman’s current contract ends in 2017, with no reports that he could extend his deal beyond that – leaving many options for who could step in and replace him, once he does leave the club.
With Pep Guardiola already having agreed a deal to join Manchester City next summer, that effectively rules out the Spaniard, leaving the likes of Joachim Loew, Diego Simeone, as well as club legends Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp as those leading the pack as favourites.

Wenger, however, has explained, as reported by the Daily Star, that he will have absolutely no say in who succeeds him, whenever he should leave.
I will not choose my successor here. I just want to leave the club in a position where it can do better when I am gone.

Arsenal face Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium, with the Frenchman looking to pick up as many wins as possible in what could turn out to be either his final season, or his penultimate.
