Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Tomas Rosicky has ruptured a tendon in his thigh, ruling him out for the long-term and likely the remainder of the current season.
The Czech international picked up an injury on his comeback as a substitute against Burnley in the FA Cup, but was forced to continue playing despite his problem, due to the fact the Gunners had already made their allowed changes.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference ahead of the game against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon, the Frenchman confirmed that while the 35-year-old does not require surgery, he is out for a prolonged period and hopes he hasn’t played his last minutes for the club.

I hope not, his injury is quite a serious one, a muscle one, the good news is that he won’t need surgery.
It’s a partial rupture of his tendon. How long will it take? Maybe two months to three months, we don’t know.
We are all of course, shocked and he is the most shocked. We have to be patient and hope that it is not his last game.
I don’t want to be dramatic, he suffers enough at the moment. I’m more with a support attitude rather than anything dramatic.

Arsenal face Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon and will look to regain a foothold in the race for Premier League glory, having not won since the beginning of January, when they defeated Newcastle United at the Emirates.
