Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that if Jurgen Klopp wants to succeed in English football, he must adapt to the congested fixture list.
The Liverpool boss joined a long list of names to have complained about the lack of a winter break, with the likes of Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, as well as a host of other top managers have done so famously in the past.
Wenger however, as reported by ITV News, despite agreeing that he would be in favour of a break over the Christmas period, offered his advice, saying that the German must accept the tradition of English football.

I must say you get that from everybody who comes to England at the start because you have to adapt to the English style.
I was like that, and I’m still in favour of a winter break, but without losing the traditions of English football. That is play over Christmas, and maybe have a break in January.
But I believe as well that we go a little bit overboard because today the English clubs are in a financial situation to have a squad of 25 top, top level players. It’s not like it was 25 years ago, so we cannot always complain that we play too much because we have players who can rotate, players who want to play.
In every club now, when I look at the bench I am quite impressed with the players who are there and can play, so I don’t believe that it’s like we have 13 players who have to play every single game.

Arsenal face Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday evening, with the hosts suffering from a number of injuries – a hindrance Wenger has become accustomed to during his tenure at the club, with the likes of Francis Coquelin, Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky set to miss out on the game.
A number of other players including Jack Wilshere will miss out, although club captain Mikel Arteta will likely be brought back into the 18-man strong squad.
