Unai Emery was sacked as Arsenal manager on Friday morning after the Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 48-year-old, who was under major pressure at the Emirates, failed to win any of his last seven games in charge, resulting in Arsenal’s worst run since 1992.

Freddie Ljungberg will now take interim charge of the Gunners while the club search for the Spaniard’s long-term successor.
And according to the Evening Standard’s James Olley, cited by @afcstuff, the club began to question Emery’s judgement over players when he signed Barcelona’s Denis Suarez.
The 25-year-old spent the second half of the previous campaign at the Emirates but failed to make the impact Emery’s team needed.
The club’s views on Emery following the arrival of Suarez made its way across social media following his departure, and these Arsenal fans were quick to give their views.

Suarez’s stay in North London was largely affected by injury, but when fully fit, he failed to impress supporters.
The 25-year-old turned out just six times, and if Emery was more shrewd in the club’s January business, they could have finished in the top four.
Instead, they finished one point off rivals Tottenham and Emery has since lost his job following the club’s woeful recent form.
