Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that whichever team can remain the most consistent over the 38 games will win the Premier League this season.

Despite being just two points behind league leaders Manchester City, it is possible that other teams could leapfrog ahead and move to the top of the Premier League table, with the likes of Leicester City, Manchester United and Manuel Pellegrini’s side all sharing time at the top of the league during November.

After an interesting start to the league, having played 14 games, Wenger claimed that realistically six teams can win England’s top division this season.

For a spell where we got only two points from our last three games, we are only two points off the top.

But if you look at the whole pack it is very tight and very compact and that means everybody can deliver the same speech basically.

You look across the league and every game is difficult for everybody. It is down to consistency. We have gone through a spell that has been a bit difficult for us but I believe we are in there and it’s down to how well we respond.

I’m convinced that we will respond very well. Mathematically, maybe 10 to 12 [can win the title]. Realistically, about six.

The Gunners are currently fourth in the Premier League, just two points behind league leaders City and two points ahead of Mauricio Pochettino’s fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who’ve lost just one game this campaign.

The likes of Chelsea and Liverpool are also beginning to win games after difficult starts, meaning a whole host of clubs could be in with a shout of winning England’s top division.
