Arsene Wenger spoke to the media on Friday morning about a number of subjects – including team news ahead of Arsenal’s first north London derby of the Premier League season against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Having lost 5-1 to Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening with the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Hector Bellerin both being rested due to injury issues, the boss admitted that the Frenchman has a more likely chance of being fit for Sunday’s fixture than the Spaniard.

From the unfortunate Wednesday night, we have no injuries. Players back for Sunday, we might have Koscielny and I think that it is. Arteta has a test tomorrow morning, Bellerin is a doubt already.
[Koscielny has an] 80% [chance]. He will have a test tomorrow.
With Hector Bellerin emerging last season and impressing the world with his pace, attacking work rate and defensive stability, the more experienced Mathieu Debuchy has seen himself limited in his football and Wenger admitted that the ex-Newcastle man needs game time to get back to the best of his ability.

Mathieu needed a little competition. Game after game he has basic fitness and now with another game he should be better. Bellerin unfortunately will not be ready, I think he could be back after the break.
